The holidays begin

Over the river and through the woods... The holiday season begins.
This is the time that those stories of yore will come out.
Be ready to capture them. Grab them before they get away.
Keep a small notebook and a pencil with you to just jot down a few words.
You can fill in the detail later, but the few words will hold the thoughts.
One word will trigger the whole story and more.
Our memories of Thanksgiving and Christmas are triggered by the present. Remember the smells and the music, and other memories will rise in your mind. Other's memories will help to trigger yours, as well.
It is really fun when you get all of the siblings together and share memories. Each tends to remember differently, which, in itself, is interesting.
Have fun and enjoy your family while gathering some more stories to add to your fodder for later.
